Coaching Philosophy
Ideal training vs fitting training in around life.
As someone who decided to do their degree while training professionally and working, I understand that sometimes life gets in the way of training. I work individually with all my athletes to maximise the effectiveness of their training time, ensuring we keep it manageable as well as enjoyable.
Injury Prevention
Due to my degree and my own journey as an injury-prone athlete, I strongly believe in the benefit of strength and conditioning. I work closely with my athletes to ensure we manage the loading, implementing rehab and prehab programs. This way they are not only ready for race day but able to enjoy the journey of the sport and life as uninjured and healthy as possible.
Coaching for all abilities
I've worked with every level of athlete and believe that anyone can benefit from a coach. There's something to learn at any point of your journey, especially at the beginning. Starting out right and training smart can make a huge difference in reducing burnout and staying injury-free.
The Training Plan
Tailored to you
Each program is tailored based on an initial interview and testing to suit the individual athletes goals, level, and injury history, as well as daily life and time constraints. The programs are checked daily and adjusted based on athlete communication and data.
Weekly
My training plans are structured weekly on Training Peaks with the data and insights from the past week being used to plan the following week.
Coaching Services
Free Trial
I like to offer all new potential athletes two free weeks of coaching to ensure this is a program that works from them before they make a commitment.
Payment
I charge $60 CAD per week. I bill weekly, giving athletes the opportunity to pause the coaching when it's not needed. All I ask is a two weeks notice period to pause/end the contract.
What do you get?
Personalised swim, bike, run, and gym programs sent out through the free online platform Training Peaks.
Free meetings and consultations on request. I communicate with athletes daily and can always be reached via WhatsApp to answer quick questions and queries or over zoom for more in depth discussions.
